Facebook and YouTube are huge sources of information. Majority of people nowadays are using Facebook and YouTube in a wrong way, which can damage their health, their spirit, their career, their success, and even their future. I personally learn and grow a lot from Facebook and YouTube. In this post, I am going to share with you some tips to effectively use Facebook and YouTube for personal growth.
1. Facebook
To avoid unrelated and unnecessary information on your Facebook feed news, I created one secret Facebook account which I never add friends, and never accept friend invitation. I only use this Facebook account to follow the positive/trusted Facebooks and Fanpages that can help me grow. Thereby, whenever I open that “learning” Facebook account, I only see “good lessons” to learn and I never see time-wasting/crap news/information. I strongly believe this “learning Facebook account” can save you a lot of time, and speed up your personal success. You can test the effectiveness of this “learning”account and let me know the results.
2. YouTube
Similar to Facebook, I carefully select and subscribe the positive/trusted YouTube channels that can help me grow. By that way, when I check my email for video notifications, I only see “good lessons” to learn. When I receive the videos, I will look at the title, thumbnail and description to decide to watch the videos or not. If I decide not to watch, I delete the video notification immediately. If I decide to watch, I like to watch the video from the beginning to the end to see the full picture. As I am very busy, I usually watch the video with 1.5 or 2 playback speed, depending on the importance of the information I am watching. In addition, I always take screenshot to capture valuable piece of information for future reference while watching. Once I finished watching the videos, I also delete the video notifications to clear my email.
