In this video, I’m going to show you a performance comparison between genetic algorithm solver in Matlab (GA solver –which is a commercial optimization solver) and my multi-start genetic algorithm coded in Python.
To make a fair comparison, we set the parameters of the two methods as close as possible, and we run each method for 10 times in solving a famous benchmark global optimization problem, named eggholder function.
